Route Consultant (“RC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides business brokerage, consulting, and related services to commercial customers. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our websites, brokerage services, events, and related offerings (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who interact with the Services, including business owners who list businesses for sale, prospective buyers and consulting clients, event attendees, job applicants, and individuals who visit or interact with our websites or marketing channels. The Services are intended solely for commercial use, and Route Consultant does not knowingly provide Services to individuals acting in a personal or household context.

Business Customers. Route Consultant’s customers are businesses. We provides Services to business customers and individuals acting on their behalf.
Personal Information. “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked to an individual, including individuals acting in a business or commercial capacity.

B. Brokerage and Transaction Information

Transaction records, deal notes, communications, closing documents, and commission-related details
Payment information, including ACH or wiring instructions where applicable
Information provided by clients and transaction participants in connection with brokerage activities
Personal identifiers that may appear incidentally within financial documents (such as tax returns), although Social Security numbers are not requested as a standalone data element
C. Website and Marketing Information
Information submitted through contact forms, downloadable content, and other website interactions
Marketing engagement data, including responses to campaigns and inquiries
D. Event and Webinar Information
Registration details such as name, email address, phone number, location, and areas of interest
Attendance records and, where applicable, event recordings
Payment or billing information in connection with event registration or attendance policies, where applicable
E. Automatically Collected Information
Device and browser information, IP address, usage data, pages visited, and interaction data
Approximate location derived from IP address or similar signals

Information received from marketing partners, analytics providers, service providers, affiliates, business partners, event organizers, and publicly available sources, where applicable
3. How We Use Personal Information

Depending on your relationship with Route Consultant and applicable law, you may have the ability to access, correct, or request deletion of certain personal information. In many cases, where you interact with us on behalf of a business customer, requests may need to be directed through your employer or account administrator.
You may opt out of promotional communications where applicable. You may also manage cookie preferences through browser settings or available tools. Where required by law, we will process verified requests in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. California Privacy Notice (CPRA)
This section applies to California residents only to the extent that the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), applies to Route Consultant’s activities. This notice is provided for transparency.
Route Consultant may collect identifiers, business contact information, financial or transactional information, internet activity data, approximate geolocation data, and professional or employment-related information. In some cases, financial documents provided in connection with brokerage services may contain personal information.
Route Consultant does not sell personal information. We may share personal information, including online identifiers and usage data, with analytics and advertising providers in a manner that may be considered “sharing” under California law, including for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may also share personal information with affiliated entities for marketing, referral, and business development purposes, as described above.
